 नेहरु जयंती पर बखेड़ा ! के. विक्रम राव           सोनिया—नीत कांग्रेस पार्टी ने कल (14 नवंबर 2021) जवाहरलाल नेहरु की जयंती पर संसद के केन्द्रीय हाल के समारोह में भाजपा सरकार के प्रतिनिधियों की अनुपस्थिति पर क्षोभ व्यक्त किया है। हालांकि मोदी शासन के राज्यमंत्री भानु प्रताप सिंह वर्मा आये थे। इस आदमकद चित्र का 5 मई 1966 (निधन तिथि : 27 मई 1964) को राष्ट्रपति डा. सर्वेपल्ली राधाकृष्णन द्वारा अनावरण हुआ था। इन्दिरा गांधी के प्रधानमंत्री बनने के तीन माह पूर्व।          यूं तो संसदीय सूत्रों ने बताया कि ऐसे अवसरों पर राज्यसभा सभापति तथा लोकसभा अध्यक्ष की हाजिरी परिपाटी के अनुसार आवश्यक नहीं रही। देश के अबतक 15 प्रधानमंत्री हो चुके है। प्रत्येक की जयंती पर ऐसा नाममात्र का औपचारिक कार्यक्रम होता रहता है। मगर सोनिया गांधी द्वारा आलोचना एक विचारणीय विषय है। अत: शिष्ट व्यवहार की रोशनी में चर्चा हो। याद कीजिये कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष तथा पांच साल तक राष्ट्र के नौवें प्रधानमंत्री पीवी नरसिम्हा राव की लाश (23 दिसंबर 2004) पूरे दिन 24 अकबर रोड (कांग्रेस मुख्यालय, अब प्रियंका वाड्रा का आवास भी) की फुटपाथ पर

 Jailed US journalist Danny Fenster freed and deported from Myanmar Guwahati: Jailed for 11 years in Myanmar, the American journalist was released on Monday and was deported out of the south-east Asian country. Danny Fenster is on a flight out of Myanmar, said the authority of a digital media outlet named Frontier Myanmar, where he is working as an editor. There is no available information if Danny was leaving for his home country (USA). The young and energetic journalist was arrested on  24 May 2021 from Yangon International Airport as he was preparing to leave Myanmar for visiting his family in Detroit, Michigan. Since then, he was imprisoned in Insein jail of Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar. The scribe, who earlier worked for Myanmar Now- now banned by the military regime- was repeatedly denied his bail. The military court inside the infamous prison, which otherwise enjoys little liberty in the military ruled nation, pronounced the verdict on 12 November to imprison Danny for

 Two young Asian scribes killed; PEC condoles their demise Guwahati: Geneva-based Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), the global media safety and rights body, condoles the sad demise of two young journalists in India and Afghanistan within 24 hours and urges the concerned authorities to probe the developments that led to their untimely deaths, and subsequently to book the perpetrators to justice. It may be mentioned that a 22 years old journalist cum Right to Information (RTI) activist named Buddhinath Jha (also known as Avinash Jha) was found dead in Madhubani district of Bihar in eastern India. Buddhinath used to report on many fake medical clinics operating in his locality and some of those were also closed by the authority. Suddenly he went missing four days back and later his charred body was found by a roadside on 12 November. The Benipatti-based family claimed that Buddhinath was offered a lot of money (as bribes) by some illegal healthcare clinic owners, but he did not respond to them
