 STORY Horror gripped the heart of the World War I soldier as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. Caught in a trench with continuous gunfire whizzing over his head, the soldier asked his lieutenant if he might go out into the “no man’s land” between the trenches to bring his fallen comrade back.   “You can go,” said the lieutenant, “but i don’t think it will be worth it. Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your life away.” The lieutenant’s advice didn’t matter, and the soldier went anyway. Miraculously he managed to reach his friend, hoist him onto his shoulder and bring him back to their company’s trench. क्या हो गया मायावती को ? उत्तर प्रदेश की मुख्यमंत्री सुश्री मायावती इन दिनों चुनावी दौरे में विभिन्न जनपदों में चुनावी सभा कर रही हैं। पता नहीं दलित की इस बेटी को क्या हो गया है ?, जब से वह पूर्ण बहुमत की सरकार की मुख्यमंत्री बनी हैं, उनको आम जनता से मिलने में दिक्कत होने लगी है। पूरे पांच वर्ष के कार्यकाल में वह जहां भी गईं, वहां कर्फ्यू के से हालात बना दिए गए। रास्तों को बैरिकेडिंग करके सील कर दिया जाता रहा है, लेकिन अब जब चुनावी जनसभाएं हो रही हैं, तब भी वह जनसाधारण की पीड़ा को सुनने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं। कल वह दिल्ली के ही निकट जिला बागपत में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करने पहुंची थी। इस जनसभा की एक तस्वीर और खबर अखबारों और कुछ खबरिया चैनलों में देखकर मुझे काफी दुख हुआ कि जब मायावती के राज में खुद महिलाओं के साथ ऐसा बर्ताव किया जा रहा है, तो फिर उनसे सभी के लिए न्याय और सम्मान की कैसे  उम्मीद की जा सकती है। इस सभा में    जब मुख्यमंत्री मायावती संबोधित कर रहीं ...
