के अध्यक्ष व पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री ग़ुलाम नबी आज़ाद ने स्वतंत्रता की 75
वीं वर्षगांठ वर्ष में शहीद भगत सिंह के 114 वें जन्मदिन पर इप्टा द्वारा
मसूरी में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया। इस समारोह में गांधी ग्लोबल
फैमिली द्वारा राजघाट, दिल्ली से देश के विभिन्न प्रान्तों के 42
प्रतिनिधियों के दल ने भी भाग लाया।
अपने उदबोधन में ग़ुलाम नबी आज़ाद ने कहा कि शहीद भगत सिंह की विचारधारा व आज़ादी को प्राप्त करने का ढंग बेशक अलग था परन्तु वे भविष्य का भारत कैसा होगा, इस बारे में पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध थे। उनके सभी साथी 20-24 वर्ष के थे परन्तु उनकी सैद्धांतिक प्रतिबद्धता असंदिग्ध थी । उन्होंने भारतीय इतिहास के संघर्षों के स्वर्णिम पन्नों को भी रखा व सन् 1857 में आखिरी मुग़ल बादशाह बहादुर शाह ज़फर के संघर्ष व ऐतिहासिक बलिदान करते हुए भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस की स्थापना, महात्मा गांधी का आगमन, असहयोग आंदोलन, चोरा-चोरी कांड, राम प्रशाद बिस्मिल, अशफाक उल्ला, राजेन्द्र लाहिरी व ठाकुर रोशन सिंह के अमर बलिदान तथा भगत सिंह तथा उनके साथियों के शहादत के इतिहास की व्यापक चर्चा की। मात्र 15-16 वर्ष की आयु से ही इन सभी क्रांतिकारियों ने स्वयं को वैचारिक बौद्धिकता से संपन्न किया तथा अपने जीवन को ही आज़ादी के मकसद के लिए आहूत कर दिया।
उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदुस्तान बहुलता, धार्मिक सद्भाव व परस्पर मैत्री का देश है। किसी भी तरह की कट्टरता, असहिष्णुता व संकीर्णता हमारी अखंडता के लिए घातक है। अपने व्याख्यान में उन्होंने अनेक ऐतिहासिक उदाहरण देकर बताया कि किस तरह सोच व व्यवहार के दकियानूसीपन ने शासक को महान व घृणा का परिचय दिया।
इप्टा के स्वर्णिम इतिहास को स्मरण करते हुए कहा कि इसके संस्थापकों व नेतांओ ने सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक विधाओं के माध्यम से देश की आज़ादी की लड़ाई में
कलाकारों, सांस्कृतिक व रंगकर्मियों को तैयार कर समर्पित किया । उन्होंने इप्टा से जुड़े तमाम लोगों के प्रति आभार व्यक्त करते हुए उनके दिवंगत नेताओं को अपनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
स्वतंत्रता के अमृतमहोत्सव पर गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली के वर्षभर के कार्य की रूपरेखा को रखते हुए कहा कि गांधी जयंती दो अक्टूबर से एक वर्ष तक लगातार आज़ादी के परवानों को स्मरण करते हुए उनके जन्म व कार्य स्थानों पर न केवल समारोह आयोजित किए जाएंगे, वहीं स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों व उनके परिवार के सदस्यों को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। महात्मा गांधी के कार्यों से संबंधित सात स्थानों को चिह्नित किया गया है, जहाँ जाकर उनके दर्शन किए जाएंगे। जीजीएफ ने वर्षभर में होने वाले कार्यों के लिए एक समिति का गठन भी किया है, जो उनके संगठन को मार्गदर्शन व परामर्श प्रदान करेगा।
कार्यक्रम में "आग़ाज़ ए दोस्ती यात्रा" में शामिल सभी 42 सदस्यों को इप्टा मसूरी की ओर से स्मृति चिह्न देकर सम्मानित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में अंतिम मुग़ल बादशाह बहादुर शाह जफर की प्रपौत्र वधु समीना खान, शहीद भगत सिंह के भतीजे स0 किरणजीत सिंह संधू, शहीद अशफाक उल्ला के भाई के पौत्र अशफाक उल्ला खान विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे। इप्टा के स्थानीय हर उम्र के कलाकारों ने विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमो की प्रस्तुति कर समा बांध दिया ।
इस अवसर पर गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली के महासचिव राममोहन राय, यात्रा दल के नेता रवि नितेश , सुप्रीम कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के पूर्व सचिव अशोक अरोड़ा, इप्टा नेत्री ममता राव कुमार, पूर्व विधायक धर्मानन्द लखेरा ने भी अपने विचार प्रकट किए।
कार्यक्रम का सफल संचालन इप्टा की राष्ट्रीय परिषद के सदस्य सतीश इप्टा ने किया। कार्यक्रम में गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली व उसके द्वारा संचालित कार्यक्रमों को प्रदर्शित करते हुए स्व. निर्मला देशपांडे जी द्वारा संचालित नित्यनूतन पत्रिका के "आग़ाज़ ए दोस्ती" अंक का लोकार्पण पत्र की कार्यकारी संपादक परवीन तंवर द्वारा करवाया गया। समारोह में मसूरी समेत आस-पास के सैंकड़ो लोगों ने भाग लिया।समारोह से पूर्व सभी सदस्यों ने मसूरी के मुख्य चौंक पर स्थापित सरदार भगतसिंह की मूर्ति कर गगन भेदी नारे लगाते हुए माल्यार्पण किया गया ।

Flagging off from Rajghat, Delhi, a team of 42 representatives from different states of the country participated in this function by Gandhi Global Family.
In his remarks, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad said that Shaheed Bhagat Singh, of course, had a different ideology and method of achieving freedom, but he was fully committed to what future India would be like. All his companions were in their 20-24 years, but their principled commitment was unquestionable. He also highlighted the golden pages of the struggles of Indian history; The year 1857 and the struggle and historical sacrifice of the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, the establishment of the Indian National Congress, the arrival of Mahatma Gandhi, the Non-Cooperation Movement, and the Chora-Chori Kaand. He also recalled the immortal sacrifice of Ram Prashad Bismil, Ashfaq Ulla, Rajendra Lahiri and Thakur Roshan Singh and the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh and his companions. From the age of only 15-16 years, all these revolutionaries endowed themselves with ideological intelligence and dedicated their lives for the cause of freedom. He said that India is a country of plurality, religious harmony and mutual friendship. Any kind of bigotry, intolerance and narrow-mindedness is fatal to our integrity. In his lecture, he also gave many examples from history, highlighting how the actions and thought processes of many rulers made them great or made them infamous.
Recalling the golden history of IPTA, he said that its founders and leaders fought for the independence of the country through socio-cultural methods. Expressing his gratitude to all the people associated with IPTA, he paid his tributes to their late leaders.
Underlining the year-long plan of the Gandhi Global Family on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, he said that from 2nd October, Gandhi Jayanti, for one year, the celebrations will be organized not only commemorating the occasion of the birth anniversary of the freedom fighters but their family members will also be honoured. Seven places related to the works of Mahatma Gandhi have been identified, which will be visited to honour and remember him. GGF has also constituted a committee for the work to be done throughout the year which will provide guidance and advice to their organization.
In the program, all the 42 members involved in Aghaz-e-Dosti Yatra were honoured by giving mementoes on behalf of IPTA Mussoorie.
Samina Khan, the wife of the great-grandson of the last Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, Mr. Kiranjit Singh Sandhu, nephew of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Ashfaq Ulla Khan, grandson of the brother of Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla, were present in the program.
On this occasion, Gandhi Global Family General Secretary Ram Mohan Rai, Yatra Dal leader Ravi Nitesh, former Supreme Court Bar Association secretary Ashok Arora, IPTA leader Mamta Rao Kumar, former MLA Jyot Singh Gunsela, Sudhir Dobhal and Dharmanand Lakhera also expressed their views. The efforts behind the successful and smooth completion of the program were of Mr Satish, the member of the National Council of IPTA.
Illustrating Gandhi Global Family’s work and the programs run by it, the Aagaz-e-Dosti issue of Nityanutan magazine run by Late Nirmala Deshpande Ji was launched by Parveen Tanwar, the executive editor of the letter.
