 PEC demands unconditional release of American journalist Danny Fenster Geneva: Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), the global media safety and rights body, expressed its dismay over the 11-year imprisonment of American journalist Danny Fenster by the military junta of Myanmar (also known as Burma and Brahmadesh) and demanded his immediate and unconditional release by the military dictators in Naypietaw. Mentionable is that the US journalist was arrested on  24 May 2021 from Yangon (Rangoon) International Airport as he was preparing to leave Myanmar for visiting his family in Detroit, Michigan. Since then, Danny (around 40 years old) has been imprisoned in Insein jail of Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar, as the scribe was repeatedly denied bail.  IJU urges State governments to pay compensation to corona-victims Hyderabad: Indian Journalists Union (IJU), while appealing to the Union government to declare working journalists as frontline warriors, urges all States and Union territories to separately announce compensations to the families of corona-media victims. The national union of scribes lauded the State governments, which have already paid compensations to the beneficiaries. It may be mentioned that the Odisha government has offered rupees 15 lakh to each family, which lost a working journalist due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab governments have announced  ₹ 10 lakh each to such victim families.  आगरा के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार योगेंद्र दुबे का निधन विभिन्न समाचार पत्रों में अपनी सेवाएं देने वाले अमर उजाला मेरठ की स्थापना में प्रमुख भूमिका निभाने वाले आगरा के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार योगेंद्र दुबे (67) का आगरा में निधन हो गया है उनके पुत्र अमर उजाला में उप संपादक प्रज्ञान दुबे ने बताया कि  सुबह उनको हार्ट अटैक हुआ था। उनकी  पहले बाईपास सर्जरी भी हो चुकी थी। इन दिनों वे "आगरालीक्स"  न्यूज पोर्टल चला रहे थे। आगरा के प्रमुख रंगकर्मी दुबे  सांस्कृतिक संस्था "रंगलीला" के भी संयोजक भी थे। उनके निधन पर पत्रकारों और रंगकर्मियों ने गहरा शोक प्रकट किया है।

 हमारे परम् स्नेही "भाईजी" डा. एसएन सुब्बाराव  जन्म तिथि: 7 फरवरी 1929  निधन       : 27 अक्तूबर 2021 स्व. निर्मला देशपांडे जी के सानिध्य में काम करते हुए डॉ. एसएन सुब्बाराव जी (भाईजी) का जिक्र हमेशा रहता था। दीदी उनके जीवन, विचारों व कार्यों की बड़ी प्रशंसक थी। मन में हमेशा उत्सुकता बनी रहती, कभी तो इन महानुभाव के दर्शन हो ।       सम्भवतः सन 1994 में "भाईजी" राष्ट्रीय एकता के निमित एक रेल यात्रा लेकर निकले जिसमें देश-दुनिया के सैंकड़ों युवा थे। प्रसिद्ध गांधी सेवक श्री सोमभाई जी ने पानीपत में इस यात्रा के स्वागत करने व अन्य व्यवस्था का दायित्व मुझ पर सौंपा। उन दिनों  आर्य शिक्षण संस्थाओं के प्रबंधन का दायित्व मुझ पर था । विद्यार्थियों के लाव-लश्कर की तो कोई कमी थी ही नहीं। तो उनके पहले दर्शन व मुलाकात रेलवे स्टेशन, पानीपत पर हुई। इस पड़ाव के कई अनोखे दुर्लभ अनुभव भी हुए, पर सबसे अधिक ऊर्जा मिली उनके व्यक्तित्व, व्यवहार व कृतित्व से। इसके बाद तो हम उनके ही बनकर रह गए ।       भाईजी, निर्मला देशपांडे जी को अपनी छोटी बहन की...

 दिल्ली मेरठ स्पीड ट्रेन 2023 से, अब 25 स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी रेल दिल्ली से मेरठ के बीच स्पीड ट्रेन का सफर 60 मिनट में पूरा होगा और इस दौरान यह ट्रेन 25 स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी। तीन स्टेशन सराय काले खां न्यू अशोक नगर और आनंद विहार दिल्ली जबकि शेष 21 उत्तर प्रदेश के हैं। 8 लाख यात्रियों के सफर करने का अनुमान है। नई दिल्ली-गाजियाबाद-मेरठ कारिडोर पर रैपिड रेल अब 24 नहीं, बल्कि 25 स्टेशनों पर रुकेगी। एनसीआर परिवहन निगम जंगपुरा में रीजनल रैपिड ट्रांजिट सिस्टम (आरआरटीएस) ट्रेनों के स्टैब्लिंग यार्ड के साथ- साथ एक स्टेशन का भी निर्माण करने जा रहा है। यह स्टेशन इस कारिडोर का 25 वां स्टेशन होगा और सराय काले खां मेगा ट्रांसपोर्ट हब को जंगपुरा के आवासीय इलाकों से जोड़ देगा। मेरठ तक 2025 से शुरू होना है पूरे कारिडोर पर परिचालन। मेरठ तक 82 किमी लंबा यह कारिडोर सराय काले खां से मोदीपुरम डिपो के बीच बन रहा है। इसमें 68 किमी का ट्रैक उत्तर प्रदेश जबकि 14 किमी का दिल्ली में पड़ता है। पूरे कारिडोर पर परिचालन 2025 से शुरू होना है, लेकिन साहिबाबाद और दुहाई के बीच 17 किमी लंबे प्राथमिक खंड का परिचालन 2023 से प...

 Manipur scribe assaulted, IJU demands punishment to culprits Hyderabad: Indian Journalists Union (IJU) has strongly condemned the incident of assault on a Manipur journalist and urged the State chief minister N. Biren Singh to book the culprits under the law.
