 Manipur scribe assaulted, IJU demands punishment to culprits Hyderabad: Indian Journalists Union (IJU) has strongly condemned the incident of assault on a Manipur journalist and urged the State chief minister N. Biren Singh to book the culprits under the law. The national union of scribes also wished for an early recovery of Elangbam Rameshwar, who works as a Thoubal correspondent of Naharolgi Thoudang regional daily newspaper, which is published from Imphal. Local media hinted that the handiwork was masterminded by some Congress workers in  Thoubal locality of the north-eastern State, who was attacked by a group of 20 to 25 masked men in the morning hours on 24 October. The rural reporter faced the assault at his residence in the Heirok area. The assailants had reportedly vandalised his house also.  PEC demands authentic probe into killing of Indian scribe Raman Kashyap Guwahati: Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), the Geneva-based media rights body condoles the demise of young television scribe Raman Kashyap at Lakhimpur Kheri locality of Uttar Pradesh in central India and demands an authentic probe into the incident that led to killing of the rural reporter on 3 October 2021. According to local sources, Raman (35) was hit by a vehicle amidst a chaotic situation where a large group of agitating farmers (against farm laws brought by the Union government in New Delhi) were in confrontations with some political workers. He was along with many reporters at the site to cover an event, but Raman turned unlucky and died on the spot. इप्टा ने मनाई शहीद भगत सिंह की 114वीं जयंती, गुलाम नबी आजाद हुए शामिल                                       उ त्तराखंड गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली के अध्यक्ष व पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री ग़ुलाम नबी आज़ाद ने स्वतंत्रता की 75 वीं वर्षगांठ वर्ष में शहीद भगत सिंह के 114 वें जन्मदिन पर इप्टा द्वारा मसूरी में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया। इस समारोह में गांधी ग्लोबल फैमिली द्वारा राजघाट, दिल्ली से देश के विभिन्न प्रान्तों के 42 प्रतिनिधियों के दल ने भी भाग लाया।   अपने उदबोधन में  ग़ुलाम नबी आज़ाद ने कहा कि शहीद भगत सिंह की विचारधारा व आज़ादी को प्राप्त करने का ढंग बेशक अलग था परन्तु वे भविष्य का भारत कैसा होगा, इस बारे में पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध थे। उनके सभी साथी 20-24 वर्ष के थे परन्तु उनकी सैद्धांतिक प्रतिबद्धता असंदिग्ध थी । उन्होंने भारतीय इतिहास के संघर्षों के स्वर्णिम पन्नों को भी रखा व सन् 1857 में आखिरी मुग़ल बादशाह बहादुर शाह ज़फर के संघर्ष व ऐतिहासिक बलिदान करते हुए भारतीय राष्ट्रीय ...
