Chattisgarh : Draft Law on the Protection of journalists
This copy of the Draft Law on the Protection of Journalists being prepared by a committee appointed by the Chhattisgarh Government and headed by Former Judge of the Supreme Court: Justice Aftab Alam.
The Committee has invited representation on 16.11.2019 to offer comments and suggestions. It will sit from 12:30 pm at Pahuna, CG Govt Guest House, Raipur. First the Media organisations and persons will be given time. Later from 3:30 citizens and other organisations. Draft Bill is attached herewith for your information and suggestions.
It may be recalled that the CG PUCL and the Partaker Suraksha Kanoon Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti had initiated the process of drafting A Bill on this important concern and finally presented the Draft Law in February 2019 at a National Convention held at Raipur.
